REQUIREMENTS
uMessenger is a lightweight
Jabber Client (50KB) developed
using
Java 2, Micro Edition.
It is targeted to mobile devices implementing KVM java virtual machine compliant to
Connected Limited Device Configuration (CLDC) and Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP).
uMessenger utilizes a socket connection to the jabber server; please note that a MIDP-compliant device is not required to support sockets thus some java virtual machines and emulators refuse to open a socket (among others, Java Wireless Toolkit from SUN).
uMessenger was developed using WHITEboard 2.0 from
Zucotto Wireless.
