REQUIREMENTS
uShare is a lightweight Open Napster Client (30KB) developed
using
Java 2, Micro Edition.
It is targeted to mobile devices implementing KVM java virtual machine compliant to
Connected Limited Device Configuration (CLDC) and Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP).
uShare utilizes a
"socket://" scheme connection to the Open Napster server and a
"file://" scheme to store files on the handset; please note that a MIDP-compliant device is required to support HTTP only, thus some java virtual machines and emulators won't work (among others, Java Wireless Toolkit from SUN).
uShare was developed using WHITEboard 2.0 from
Zucotto Wireless.
